45407 The Lancashire Fusilier with The
Settle & Carlisle Steam Special
(The Northern Belle)

(Carnforth - Shap - Carlisle - Appleby - Settle - Hellifield)
The train is seen passing Shap Wells on the climb to Shap on the West Coast Mainline on the outward leg.
The tour started diesel top and tailed with 57315 and 57313 Scarborough Castle at Telford and finished at Chester
having approached Telford from the direction of Shrewsbury on the return.
Steam came on at Carnforth and off at Hellifield from where the train headed back to Telford and Chester
after travelling down the WCML through Crewe and Stafford with the two diesels.
57313 Scarborough Castle was on the rear during the steam hauled part of the tour.
