5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe with The Shap Mountaineer
16th March 2024
(Carnforth -Shap - Carlisle and return to Crewe via Shap and Preston).
The tour started at Tyseley diesel hauled by 47773.
When 5043 came on at Carnforth the diesel shadowed the train following a few minutes behind
in it's own path until they got back to Crewe where 47773 was put on the front to pilot 5043 home.
The train is seen passing Greenholme and on up towards Shap on the outward leg
and then at Bee Lane, Preston on the return.
