45229 Duchess of Hamilton on The Welsh Marches Pullman

The outward leg was hauled by 5000 and 46229 is waiting at Chester to take over for the return leg.
In the second image the curved front end of the running plates can be seen missing.
With the piston and valve covers unpainted it suggests that work has recently taken place on the cylinder blocks.
As you can tell, "health and safety" has yet to go into into overdrive.
